Role: Creative Director & Photographer
Client: Budweiser
Agency: Godsent
Type: Beverage Ad Campaign, Photography
Introduction:
Budweiser is synonymous with fun, relaxation, and iconic moments shared over a cold beer. To bring this spirit to life in a fresh and memorable way, we created a visually striking ad that blends humor, authenticity, and bold branding, emphasizing that Budweiser is for everyone, no matter who you are or where you're enjoying it.
Challenge:
In a world dominated by unattainable ideals and perfect physiques in advertising, Budweiser needed a campaign that stood out and resonated with real, everyday people, maintaining its playful and inclusive identity.
Solution:
I crafted a tongue-in-cheek visual featuring a black-and-white portrait of a man standing in the shallow water at the beach, his toes dipped into the water. Striking a relaxed, model-like pose while holding a Budweiser beer can and wearing Budweiser-branded swim shorts, the only elements in color are the bold red shorts and beer can, highlighting the brand.
The contrast between the idealized model pose and the man’s beer gut adds humor and relatability, poking fun at the typical swimwear ad aesthetic. The Budweiser logo in the bottom corner reinforces the brand’s identity, keeping the focus on the fun, laid-back vibe.
This campaign celebrates the everyday Budweiser drinker, showing that enjoying life and a Budweiser doesn’t require perfection—just authenticity and a good sense of humor.
